Jensen Fam + baby: Maternity

This family is so sweet. I know them through my hubs...who has known chris for a long time. I really like them. They are so much fun to be around and just genuine people.

This was my first maternity shoot for baby #2 on the way. I have always wanted to do a maternity shoot where some of the little bun in the oven's brothers and sisters are in it too! That was one of the reasons I was super excited about this shoot. I was also excited (and honored) to do this shoot because they didn't get to do one the first time around. Little Kendall was born about 2months early. So this was so special!

Our shoot started out with lots of rain (and ended with lots of rain)! Thankfully, they were all troopers and did so great. And thanks to my awesome friend Jessie, whose umbrella I randomly had in the car and was able to use it on the fly! It worked out perfect.

Enjoy my favorites from their shoot!! Sweet Amelia actually arrived just about a week ago...so congrats to you Jensen family!!

Ryden: 11months!

My baby is already 11months. I know I say it every month, but this is crazy to me! It's almost been one year since I had him and I can hardly believe it. Life is so so so amazing with our little man in it and it's hard to imagine a time when he hasn't always been here!

He is at such a fun age. So active, so talkative, so full of joy, energy and cuteness! It is truly the BEST thing to be his mama and watch him grow and grow. I am so thankful for him! I'll keep this post short, since next month I'll be writing his ONE YEAR post and I'll be writing a little more ;)

Enjoy my favorites from his "month" portrait shoot. He is just the cutest little guy. Oh and I just have to mention how cute he was this shoot. As soon as I sat him down on his chair he gave me a funny face and then smiled real sweet (like he knew I wanted a pic) and then was off  doing his own thing and was a goofball the whole time, haha. After that he didn't sit still once. He was busy taking off his shoes, standing up (with no hands!), rocking in the chair, trying to escape the chair and just being cute.

Anyway...enjoy these adorable pics!!

These are the first two pics I took that I was talking about above! :)

Kicking off 2013!!

As many of you know, I recently moved this month! We are now living in a old...really old, like over 100years old  country house about 15mins outside town. There are of course pro's and con's to living in a old house...but for the most part we are loving it :) Anyway, I'll share more about the house another time.

Moving really got the best of me this month. I did not expect it to take as long as it has to move and unpack...but with a sweet baby to take care of I should have expected it to. I had planned to do many other blog-posts this month, but this one will have to do!

I am sooooo excited for the many weddings coming up this year. I can hardly believe wedding season 2013 is just about upon us! With that said, there is still time to book your wedding! From now until Valentines Day (Feb 14th), I am offering my annual wedding booking special. I meant to announce it at the beginning of this month and was unable to, so that is why I am extending the special beyond Jan, till Feb 14th. Melissa & Allen: Engagement

I have ALWAYS wanted to do a "snowy" engagement shoot. It's been on my list for awhile. As you all know, it doesn't snow much here in chico. It does of course up the hill in the mountains, but it's really hit and miss. And of course you have to find a couple willing to drive 30mins in the cold on slick roads. Anways...with that said, can you imagine just how excited I was when this shoot worked out!?

When Melissa and I first met and talked about her wedding and engagement photos, she was actually the one who expressed that she would really like a snow shoot. I was all for it!! Her engagement shoot was first scheduled in early December. Due to the weather and me being sick, that one didn't work out. We rescheduled it for just a few weeks ago and I'm so glad we did! If not, we still would have shot in the location...but there would have been no snow :(

We shot in forest ranch at my grandparents. I'm pretty spoiled to have awesome grandparents, that have a gorgeous house on lots of land. It was just beautiful up there and the snow was sooooo pretty! As pretty as snow is...as you know, it's VERY cold. Melissa and Allen were troopers, they pushed through their shoot in the cold with big smiles and were amazing!

I'm so happy with how the photos turned out. Snow reflects the light so well and I love that! Enjoy my favorites from the day :) M & A, can't wait to shoot your wedding this May!!
