Ryden: 10months!

My sweet little man is already 10months. I don't know how that happened! Last month when he turned 9months, I decided to stop keeping track of how old he is...in hopes that it would slow down. It did the exact opposite! Before I knew it, the 22nd was here and he was already 10months old. Holy moly. He is such a fun, active, energetic, sweet boy! I am so blessed to get to be his mama and spend every day with him. Enjoy these favorites from his 10month "month portraits". He sure is cute!!! ;)

Ali & Austin: Engagement

I now LOVE winter shoots. Love them. I usually don't do many shoots in December. November is always packed with TONS and it naturally slows down in December, which normally I'm happy about for 2 reasons. One, I can fully enjoy the Christmas season and soak up every moment of it. Two, it's usually not very pretty for photos in Dec (at least I use to think so). It's such a drastic change from the bright, vibrant fall colors...that it often looks dreary and bare. I've found I've grown to looooove just that! The bare, beautiful trees, mixed with crisp, soft winter light. It's just perfect.

Of course Ali & Austin made it just that much better! They were SO natural in front of the camera...a photographer's dream!! It made my job so so easy. For me and my style of shooting, the best thing is when the couple interacts how they normally do. This way I am able to get the natural, relaxed, candid photos I strive for. They did just that. I wouldn't have to say anything and they would just do their thing and it turned out GREAT! They have never even had professional photos taken before, which makes it even more impressive!

I am so excited for their wedding next August!! They are such a sweet, genuine couple and I really enjoyed my time with them. Enjoy my favorites...there are MANY. I had a really hard time narrowing it down...they were just too good! ;)
